Out and About with Dr. G – WaHi Farm

Walla Walla Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Ben Gauyan recently visited the Walla Walla High School Farm to join students in Kirsten Gilbert’s Veterinary Assistant class for the latest episode of the Out & About with Dr. G video series. During the visit, Dr. Gauyan learned about the farm’s current lambing season and met several of the baby lambs recently born on campus, while hearing from students about the daily care and attention required to help them grow and thrive.

Out & About with Dr. G takes viewers inside classrooms, shops, and training spaces across the district, highlighting programs that provide students with meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. In each visit, Dr. Gauyan works alongside students and staff to gain a firsthand understanding of the learning taking place.

The series aims to showcase the skill, creativity, and dedication happening every day in Walla Walla Public Schools while giving the community an authentic look at how students are building practical, real-world skills for the future.
