FFA District VI Ag Issues and Employment Skills LDE Written
On January 22, eight FFA members traveled to Oakesdale High School to compete in District VI competitions. Six Members participated in the Agricultural Issues contest: Ellie Ford, Breanna Sweeney, Race Hubbard, Kinzey Appleford, Alexis Jones, and Aaden Repoff.
With their issue “Should Agricultural Land Be Exempt from Annexation, or Should Agricultural Land Be Available for Urban Development?”, the team secured fourth place and advanced to compete at the State FFA Convention in May.
They also had two FFA members, Baylee Appleford and Ben Stillman, compete in the Employment Skills contest. This contest tests students' interview skills and ability to complete job employment documents common in all careers.
Congratulations to Ben, Baylee, and the Ag Issues team for a job well done!
