WaHi Culinary students FCCLA Competition

The FCCLA State Culinary Competition was a thrilling showcase of talent, teamwork, and culinary skill. WaHi culinary students competed in Baking & Pastry which included making cookies, scones, puff pastries, and cake decorating, Culinary Arts included creating a 3 course meal, and Food Art which included carving food to create a centerpiece.

All participants competed in these timed events alongside many other students and were evaluated on sanitation, timing, technique, taste, and creativity.

In the end Ariadna Ramirez and Carlota Cerqueiro Otero scored bronze in Culinary Arts, Kaylee Frisvold and Sydnee Andrews scored silver in Culinary Arts, and Mackenzie Davis scored Gold in Culinary Food Art.
